Your neuropsychologist

Hello there! I am using this space to introduce myself.

This is Dr. Iyer Kamlam Gopalkrishnan. I juggle many hats—one a consultant clinical neuropsychologist, researcher, and blogger.

They say it takes a lifetime to understand and know a subject! I agree thoroughly. This field of psychology has been fascinating, to say the least. 

My journey with psychology began with my undergraduate degree, majoring in psychology. I was ranked 2nd at the University of Pune.  Further specialization in clinical psychology at the Master's degree gave me a sound understanding of abnormal psychology, where I ranked 1st at the University of Pune. Delving into my MPhil in Clinical Psychology has made me the professional that I am today. I graduated with the "Best Outgoing Candidate--- Gold Medal Of The Year" award from Kasturba Medical College, Manipal, and obtained my license from the Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI). Under my advisor and mentor -- Dr.. S. Venkatesan, Professor, Department of Clinical Psychology, All India Institute of Speech and Hearing (AIISH), Mysore, my tutelage assimilates that clinical practice needs refinement with continuous reading and research. The pursuit of neuropsychological research on children and their parents has enabled me to achieve a doctoral degree in Psychology. I am currently being  certified on Pivotal response Treatment, a ABA training from the  Koegal Centre for Autism Help, Santa Barbara, USA. 

I am a Professional Life Member (PLM) of the Indian Association of Clinical Psychologists (IACP).
